In 2011 we took our longest flight to date and visited Japan.  We stayed in Tokyo and managed to visit Kamakura, Kyoto and Mt. Fuji.  I’m sure everyone has heard stories about how orderly everything is in Japan but you really appreciate it the first time you experience it.  I would say that it was a joy to take public transportation from Narita Airport to the center of Tokyo, which is something I would never even think after landing at JFK airport.
